I love breakfasts. Whether I am eating them on my tod in the kitchen, or surrounded by friends at the weekend, I look forwards to breakfast as soon as my head hits the pillow.
Not only do I love eating breakfast, I love making them too, so I was thrilled when I was asked to whip up a breakfast of champions for the Manolo Blahnik press day. After enquiring whether I was to be paid in shoes, I leapt at the chance, and hot-footed to the kitchen!
Arriving bright and early in the morning, the room had been transformed with flowers, which provided the perfect backdrop to show off just how gorgeous all the shoes are.
The room looked so whimsical and dreamy – how amazing would it be to have this at home? A little high maintenance maybe, but well worth it I would say! When I win the lottery, this is what my house will look like on a permanent basis.
I set to work making little bottles of green juice: apple, celery, spinach, pineapple and kale.
There were little pots of blackberry and coconut bircher muesli for the guests to dig into.
Along with beautiful fruity skewers which are always a winner.
And some classic smoked salmon bites on potato pancakes, as well as a delicious feta, red onion and sweet potato frittata for those with a more savoury tooth.
It was a lovely morning…even if I wasn’t paid in shoes!
