I’ve realised that I haven’t been so good at sharing some snaps of the cooking jobs I’ve been busy working on recently.
That totally belies the fact that I’ve been beavering away in the kitchen, creating all sorts of deliciousness (she says modestly) for some amazing brands, and it’s been pretty non-stop!
One of my favourite events I’ve done recently is one I did last week: a private canapé event for Manolo Blahnik. It was a celebration of their fabulous shoes, and although I had an absolute blast, the only down side was that I wasn’t paid in shoes…! We did our set up and prep amongst piles of Manolo’s, and it felt a bit like being in the Aladdin’s cave of the shoe world. I was in complete heaven!
Guests feasted on a few delicious canapés, sipped champagne, and the whole thing was finished off with strawberries dipped in chocolate. It was lovely!
The lighting isn’t always amazing in the prep area, but I do love taking photos of the food, just so you can get an idea of the sort of thing I’ve been up to! I’m no photographer, it’s true, but I sure do make delicious food!
These polenta rounds with caramelised red onion and crumbled feta is one of my favourites at the moment. They are ridiculously good and everyone always chases the waitresses round the room for more of these.
Chicken liver paté is a classic, and I love it served with brioche. The freshness of the cucumber just round off the whole bite perfectly.
These are my infamous savoury macarons, which people go mad for! A sweet, crunchy macaroon shell with creamy cream cheese and lemony smoked salmon. It almost shouldn’t work, but it just does. So so good.
And to round things off? Chocolate covered strawberries are always a total hit. It’s such a simple combination, but just swoon inducing every time!
