I know lots of you have been enjoying my Magic Microwave bread, which makes me so happy! It’s so versatile, and I love using it for all sorts of delicious things. Today, I wanted to share with you, how to make a quick, easy, delicious and nutritious French toast! aka. Healthy French Toast!
French toast is such a lovely thing to make for a lazy weekend brunch, but it’s so quick and easy to make, that I also love knocking it up on a weekday to brighten up my working week. If you’ve seen any of my other Youtube videos, you will know that these recipes all form part of my Five Minute Food series, so when I say this is quick to make…I really do mean it’s quick to make!
Whilst there is a certain please that can be found in baking your own bread from scratch in the usual sense of that word. There is also a huge amount of pleasure in making a naturally gluten free bread in less than 2 minutes from start to finish. Don’t get me wrong, I also take pleasure in kneading, resting (the bread, not me! Although I do like that too!), rolling, shaping and baking my own bread, but there is a time and a place for that. And it certainly isn’t in Five Minute Food, that’s for sure.
I love French toast, and this is such a lovely little recipe. The hint of orange really lifts it and just makes it even more scrumptious. I love mine drizzled with (the biggest bottle of…) maple syrup you’ve ever seen, and a handful of blueberries. But it’s also great with a dollop of coconut yoghurt, some sliced strawberries and a drizzle of dark chocolate. Yum.
Give it a go and be sure to report back and let me know how it goes! Find me @madebymargie xx
