I am a professional chef, cookery writer and podcaster.
I have a passion for all things edible and aim to help people get confident cooking in the kitchen and hopefully inspire you with lots of delicious recipes.
My recipes are all quick and easy to make, are packed full of flavour, and taste great! No matter your level of expertise in the kitchen, this website is for you! We’re all busy, and don’t always have the time to spend hours in the kitchen and I totally get that – I’m busy too! That’s why my recipes are designed to give you maximum results with the least amount of effort.
I’ve been cooking professionally for the last 8 years. Whilst completing a Masters in Law after having finished studying at Oxford University, all I was dreaming about was cooking. I soon made a culinary about-turn, and headed off to Ireland’s world-renowned Ballymaloe Cookery School.
I’ve cooked all over the world, and worked in some of London’s top restaurants. 5 years ago I set up my own catering company called Made by Margie. This blog quickly followed and now has over 300 recipes on it for you to explore.
My podcast, Desert Island Dishes launched earlier this year. I absolutely love doing Desert Island Dishes, as it enables me to combine the things I love the most: meeting interesting and inspiring people, eating food, cooking food and taking about food.
Oh and I have a sausage dog, called Digby. He’s the bees knees!
